In the neighborhood for one night and needed a quick and easy vegetarian meal. Popped in and had a delicious order of Gen Tso and spring rolls. Served fresh and quick. Super crispy tofu! I wish there was something as good as this close to my home.

Chinese takeout that hits the spot. I had ordered from Zen Vegetarian before and recently gave them another try. Glad I did because this order was much more satisfying. The General Tso's is fiyah. The marinated soy chicken texture and flavor were on point. The vegan goddess stir-fry noodle was tasty. The Chinese broccoli and eggplant chili sauce rounded up the order. Gotta have those veggies. The only thing I'd wish for is to be easier to identify which dishes are vegan. The whole menu could actually be vegan. I am finding contradictory information online. If anyone knows, please share. Generous servings. Cash only.

I ordered dinner from Zen via Uber Eats, and, I'm so happy I did! Everything was prepared fresh and to order, arrived steaming hot, with portions large enough to share or save for the next day. The protein fried rice will be a must with every order from now on, and the Singapore Mei Fun (a personal favorite) was fantastic, with flavors extremely reminiscent of the non-vegan version. Also, don't forget to order the Salt & Pepper 'Chicken'! You'll be happy you did :)

Super tasty, with nuggets (and nugget sauce) that rival the classic ones from the now long gone Vegetarian Paradise 2. They're about 95% accurate to those, so if you miss those, you'll be in heaven. Really enjoyed the tofu garlic sauce as well. Will be getting from here more often.

My vegan friend introduced me to this neighborhood find and I've been a huge fan since! The owner is the sweetest woman who will always provide recommendations if you ask. The "chicken nuggets" are great and the portions are pretty large considering the price.

I've ordered take out from here a bunch. A great vegetarian Chinese food take out option for pretty cheap prices. Some dishes are a miss but I'm a big fan of the ribs and the lo mein.

A very solid spot. When we lived in the area, it was convenient for the days we wanted to skip meat. I tried their Chicken Nuggets, Fried Wontons, Vegetable Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, curry chicken, beyond burger, buddha bowl, sweet potato fries, and ribs. It can be heavy with all the sauces and frying as Chinese can be. Definitely recommend ordering dishes with more veggies instead of soy/tofu focused. My favs were the ribs, sesame chicken, and sweet potato fries, but I would like to try the mango chicken and drinks. A big perk was also being able to order takeout so I could pick it up on my way home. The staff was always friendly and food ready.

Tasty, affordable vegetarian Chinese food with generous portions and delicious seitan! I ordered here for the first time via Uber eats and it was just what I was hoping for: -large veggie wonton soup - very yummy and pretty filling since they stuff like 10 wontons in here. A great deal for $6.50 -black pepper seitan- this is a hefty portion. It's not spicy but has a nice peppery flavor. The seitan was nice and hearty. It tasted like they pan fried it a bit so it was a bit crispy. Note that this comes with Chinese broccoli - not regular- and a lot of it! Also cheap- $13 So glad I finally found a vegetarian Chinese spot that's on point in terms of flavor and value. I'll be ordering again!

A great place for vegan food. It's like a moment of zen kind of. Zen Vegetarian House is in Flatbush pretty close to Prospect Park. Had such a big menu for a small place so it's quite a hidden spot for the curious. There's lots of interesting things to choose from that look and taste a lot like the real thing. It has an all vegetarian menu. Seriously there's no need to ask them. The majority of things are also vegan. At lunch they have specials and you save a lot. The specials are about $7.50 and come with a choice of a spring roll or soup. I had the Eggplant With Soy Chicken and the spring roll. She had the Tofu Teriyaki. I thought it was excellent. Lots of the purple eggplant among other vegetables. Big pieces of the soy chicken. The spring roll was crispy and didn't taste like it was frozen like at many places. Eating inside is hard because it's very small so most people get carryout. It also isn't a wonderful area but it's not scary. This is one of the best choices in Flatbush for vegans.
